Mission Statement:

Develop a high performance, competitive women’s dragon boat team that will represent Canada, our club, and our sponsors at the 2012 Club Crew World Championships in Hong Kong and position ourselves for continued success and representation beyond 2012.

After accomplishing our goals by reaching the podium at both the 2006 & 2008 Club Crew World Championships our team took a much deserved break in 2009. We spent  quality time with family and paddled as a mixed team and welcomed new women to join us as a building women's team. Well, OK, we've done that and now - We're Back!

So we've spent the winter pool paddling and hitting the weights and the summer, training on-water three times a week. It's paid off - we won Gold (Seniors) at Nationals and Silver (Sport/Premiere) at the Quebec Cup. We are on track for the podium at the 2012 Worlds Club Crew Championships in Hong Kong!

Qualifying for the World Cup in Hong Kong is a super accomplishment but getting there is no easy feat! Unfortunately, as amazing as it is to be representing Canada abroad, it doesn't come cheap...

So we are proud to have La Tierra Co-op from Gatineau to help with our fundraising! They have prepared a Free Trade and Organic Medium Dark Roast blend and we call it Podium Blend!

Podium Blend is available in Decaf or Caf as beans, regular grind or espresso grind. It's $15/lb delivered to you by one of us! Proceeds go towards getting us over to Hong Kong to represent Canada and our Club on the international podium.

We can place orders any time here!

So have some Podium Blend and join the fun!

Hong Kong - 2012 CCWC

The Hong Kong 2012 Club Crew World Championships will be held in the Victoria Harbour, site of the original Hong Kong Races, to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the founding of the modern sport and the 21st Birthday of the IDBF and its foundation in Hong Kong in 1991.

Delegates were reminded by Mason Hung, the Senior IDBF Vice-President, that the racing conditions in Victoria Harbour would not be the same as those normally expected at a Club Crew World Championships but that the Organising Committee would do all that it could to ensure that the race course was as fair as possible.

Hong Kong 2012 would be a return to the festival racing conditions in which Sport Racing developed and competitors should come to Hong Kong for the experience of racing on the course where the modern sport started and enjoy the traditions associated with the Sport in its historical setting.
