Well if Welland was tough, Montreal was daughnting, and everyone wanted to win as this was the last chance at the berth for the Worlds. We had to beat Montreal Women's 'B' to qualify and we had them in our sites. They were good at the 250m but our race was the 500m and that's where we got them. It was so tight even our coaches were at a loss to know who won. The replay told the tale and we were off to the Worlds!
